Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility Criteria for MPhil/MS/MSc(Hons)/MBA Programs Admission 

  1. Master Degree (sixteen years of education or equivalent) and with at least 2 division in the relevant subject under Annual System or with 2.0 out of 4.00 CGPA under the Semester System recognized by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan.
  2. Valid GAT (General) result conducted by NTS or IUB departmental test with at least 50% marks before admission.

Eligibility Criteria for PhD ( Doctor of Philosophy)

  1. MPhil/MS or equivalent/Eighteen years of education with a minimum CGPA 3.0/4.00 or 60% in case of annual system
    recognized by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan
  2. Valid GAT (Subject) result conducted by NTS with at least 60% or IUB departmental test with 70% marks before admission.

Important Instructions 

HARD COPY of the ON-LINE application form is not required. Original documents along with 2 photocopy sets will be required at the time of admission.

Schedule of interview, merit list and IUB departmental test will be announced on IUB Official Website www.iub.edu.pk

Candidates are required to pay admission processing fee Rs. 1200 and 1500 for MPhil and PhD, respectively. Moreover, the candidates desiring to appear in IUB departmental test are required to pay Rs. 1500/- for MPhil/PhD. The fee can be deposited in any branch of Habib Bank Limited on challan form downloadable from online admission portal.

Original receipt of admission processing fee Rs. 1200/- and 1500/- for MPhil and PhD respectively will be provided by the applicant at the time of issuance of fee challan and IUB test fee Rs. 1500/- will be furnished at the time of written test without which candidates(s) will not be allowed to appear in the written test.

Incomplete application forms will not be entertained. The candidates who have already passed GAT (General)/(Subject) and having valid result card issued by NTS, need not register for IUB test.

PhD Admissions

PhD Admissions at IUB remain open throughout the year. The list of PhD programs is available at website. The candidates securing admission in any PhD program at IUB are directed to visit the departments for obtaining the consent letter from the supervisors. The relevant supervisor will issue the consent letter if he/she has the space for recruiting new scholar.
